The beauty of Istanbul lies in the people on the street coping with the chaotic yet harmonic day to day life of the metropolis. The hospitable, emotional, and expressive Turkish people always generously allowed me to connect with their personalities via my lens. Teşekkürler!
It takes time to build the bond with such a historical city as Istanbul. I would linger around Istanbul and just wait and observe, and then wait and observe, and finally talk to the people in the neighborhood until a point I sense the invitation and acceptance from the community. After that, photographing the moments become natural.
